Block south of Main street on Green Avenue. It is located across from the Purcell High School.
In 1999 I got a new Chalet travel trailer and was ready to take it for a test camp. I had been e-mail
With Marlene Bush for a while and decided to go met her. Marlene and I hit it off immediately.
She had never been camping before, so we went for a weekend trip to a state park in north GA.
I made another trip to GA to see Marlene and we decided to go to Alaska. We left GA and headed
To Purcell for her to met my kids. We took two weeks getting to Alaska and traveled on any road
That we could find that was paved. We did take one gravel road. It was the Haul road out of
Fairbanks. It was 500 mile road and was a 6 day trip. No place to camp in Prudue Bay, so we
Headed back south and camped along the river. When we left Alaska we headed south and took
The road to Skagway. Here we decided to get married. When we got back to GA, we decided
That if we were going to travel, a larger trailer was in order. This began our full time excursion.
Still love it and hope to be doing it for many more years.
